Frequently Asked Questions
A few clarifications, offered gently
This page exists to answer the questions that naturally arise when someone feels a book inside them, and to help you sense whether this way of working is right for you.
What exactly is Wisdom Publishing?
Wisdom Publishing is a guided self-publishing studio.
I don’t act as a gatekeeper, and I don’t take ownership of your work.
I act as a guide, helping you move from idea to finished book with clarity, structure, and care.
You keep full creative control and full rights to your book.
I help you navigate the process without overwhelm.
Is Wisdom Publishing a traditional publishing company?
No.
Traditional publishers select a small number of books, move slowly, retain rights, and usually expect authors to arrive with a finished manuscript and an existing platform.
Wisdom Publishing works differently.
I work with you where you are, at a human pace, and help you bring a book into the world in a way that feels aligned, clear, and complete.
Do you write the book for me?
No. The book is always yours.

That said, writing doesn’t always begin with writing. Some authors express their ideas more clearly through conversation, interviews, or guided reflection. In those cases, spoken material may become part of the foundation for the book, shaped carefully and collaboratively.

You remain the author. My role is to help the work take form.
Do I need to have a finished manuscript before we begin?
No. You don’t need to identify as a writer.

What matters is that you already feel a clear intention to share something meaningful through a book. Some people write easily. Others think better through conversation, notes, or reflection.

The work begins from what you already carry, not from writing skill alone.
Do you work with AI? And do I have to use it?
I can show you how to use AI as a supportive tool, not a replacement for your voice.
AI can help with:
-
momentum
-
clarity
-
structure
-
reducing overwhelm
But it’s always optional.
If you prefer to write without AI, that’s completely fine.
The process adapts to you.
What kinds of books do you help publish?
I work with a wide range of nonfiction and reflective books, including:
-
nonfiction guides
-
personal wisdom manuals
-
spiritual or reflective books
-
workbooks and journals
-
illustrated books
-
books that don’t fit a clear category yet
If your book arises from lived experience, insight, or inner work, it’s likely a good fit.
Do you help with editing?
I guide you through preparing your manuscript and choosing the right level of editing.
You’re welcome to work with your own editor, or I can recommend trusted editors I’ve worked with.
Editing is always handled transparently and intentionally, never rushed.
Where will my book be published?
That depends on your goals and location.
I guide you through publishing options such as:
-
Amazon
-
international distribution
-
print-on-demand
-
eBooks
-
other formats that fit your vision
We choose the platform based on what serves your book, not what’s trendy.
Do you offer audiobook support?
Yes, if you want your book in audio format.
I can guide you through creating an audiobook using tools and workflows that make the process accessible, even if you’ve never done audio before.
This is optional and discussed case by case.
Do you help with marketing or sales?
I don’t offer marketing services or sales guarantees.
What I do help with is:
-
clarity of message
-
positioning your book honestly
-
understanding the publishing landscape
Many people I work with aren’t trying to “sell at scale,” but to share their work with integrity, clients, or communities.
How long does the process take?
There’s no fixed timeline.
Some books come together in a few months.
Others unfold more slowly.
We move at a pace that supports:
-
your nervous system
-
your creativity
-
the depth of the work
This is not a rush-to-publish process.
How do we work together?
Most authors work with me through:
-
1:1 Zoom sessions
-
optional between-session support
-
a simple shared workspace to track progress
There’s no rigid curriculum.
The structure adapts to you and your book.
How do I get started?
We begin with a conversation.
No pressure.
No obligation.
Just a space to explore whether this feels right.
Can I come without a clear idea yet?

You don’t need a finished manuscript, but you do need a felt sense of what you want to express.

Wisdom Publishing is best suited for people who already feel the value of what they want to share, even if they need help shaping, structuring, or completing it.

If you’re still exploring whether a book is the right form, the free resources may be a better place to begin.
Is this about publishing on Amazon?

Publishing platforms are tools, not goals.

While Amazon is one option, the focus here is on helping you complete a book in a way that aligns with your intention, values, and desired format. The publishing path is chosen later, once the work itself is clear.
Who is this not a good fit for?

This work may not be a good fit if you’re looking for quick production, mass marketing strategies, or someone to generate content without personal involvement.

The process values presence, discernment, and follow-through.
